How are places and prize money awarded if two or more qualifying players go out in the same hand?

If two or more players are eliminated in the same hand, and prize money would have been awarded to one or more of the eliminated players, the places are awarded as follows. The player going into the hand that bet the most chips gets the higher (or highest) placing. In the unlikely event that the eliminated players bet an equal number of chips in that hand, a tie is determined and the monies from the tied places are added together and split equally among the tied players.

Example 1:
Two players are eliminated in one hand where fourth and fifth place would be determined. The player with the most chips going into that hand would place fourth; the other player would place fifth.

Example 2:
Two players are eliminated in one hand where fourth and fifth place would be determined and they both bet an equal number of chips going into the hand. The prize money (if any) for fourth and fifth place would be added together and divided equally among the two players.

Example 3:
Three players are eliminated in one hand where fourth, fifth, and sixth place would be determined. Eliminated Players 1 and 2 bet an equal number of chips. Eliminated Player 3 bet more chips than either Player 1 or 2. Player 3 would be awarded fourth place. Players 1 & 2 would split equally the prize money from the sum of monies for Places 5 and 6 (if any).
