What time will the tournament end and what happens if we have to end early?
We expect that the tournament will end sometime between midnight and 1 AM. Because the Michigan Charitable Gaming rules do not allow us to continue play after 2 AM sharp, we will abide by the contingency rule stated below should play continue after 1:45 AM.
If the tournament must be terminated early because of conditions beyond the control of the banquet facility (power outage, natural disaster, acts of God, etc.), or because no tournament first place winner has been determined by the last hand dealt at or immediately before 1:45 AM, the remaining prize monies shall be awarded by a random drawing where each remaining player has an equal chance to win remaining prizes (regardless of chip count). If the random drawing cannot be completed at the banquet facility, an alternative location and drawing time shall be announced and the drawing for the remaining prize monies shall be conducted within 24 hours of the end of the tournament. Eligible players need not be present at the alternative location to win.
